Elliott Pope '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'7 power/small forward from Huntersville, NC. I have been a member of the varsity basketball team at Hopewell High School for three years and serve as captain for my senior season. During my two previous varsity seasons, our team posted a 51-4 record including two conference titles and a Regional final appearance. Five of my former teammates are currently playing Div. I and two are playing Div. II basketball. As a junior, I received the "Titan Award" which is given by the players and coaches to the team member who shows outstanding leadership and hard work, becoming the first underclassmen to accept this award. As a senior, I was named to the Prep All-Star Holiday All Tournament team. I have also participated in AAU for the past five years. I have a 3.9 GPA and am looking for a college environment where academics and athletics share equal importance. I am most interested in playing in a system that values mental and physical play, hard work, and player-coach relationships.
