R. J. Hunt '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was four years old.  The first day I got on the court I fell in love with the game.  I played in the YMCA league in Henderson, NC.  My dad volunteered as the Assistant Coach and to see his face when I scored my first basket of the first game is the best feeling of my life so far.  I knew then that I would work hard to duplicate that moment in my life.  My dad is so proud of me but I have not seen that excitement in him since that day.  My dream is to play with a well organized and discipline program that will help me achieve the goal of being one of the most impressive basketball players that program has produced.  I pride myself on being a humble person.  And I know that I have to work hard for what I want and it’s a lot harder to gain success than to lose it.  Being thankful everyday and giving back to the community is the right thing to do.  Plus, I enjoy helping other.  It is a feeling that no one can take from you.  My belief is “Everyone goes through lows and highs, It’s just how you deal with those situations that make you different from everyone else”.
