I am a dedicated student athlete and aspire to play at a competitive DI or DII level. My Varsity Basketball team just won the 2020-21 1A State Championship and I was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the game. For the 2019-20 season I received an honorable mention for the County All-Star team, and I was a finalist for Conference Player of the Year (no selection was made due to COVID). At Phenom 2019 (Spartanburg, SC) I was selected as Player of the Game and was listed as a Phenom Standout. I am a good candidate for any college basketball team because I am an impact player and a game changer in most games; I will do whatever is necessary in the situation. If the team needs rebounds, I will rebound; if the team needs defense, I will play defense; and if the team needs points, I will do what it takes to score. This year’s season was short, but our team competed against very competitive teams in the playoffs. My team had only played 4 regular season games prior to the playoffs; but quality—not quantity—won us a state championship. I led my team and conference in rebounds and free throws. I can play down low or on the wing, and I am a pretty good ball handler for my size. More importantly, I am an unselfish player, and I am coachable.
I am different from other recruits because I am a three-sport athlete, which adds to my overall athleticism and endurance. Soccer helps me with my foot work and agility, and track helps me with strength and allows me to compete individually. I also help my teammates that are struggling with drills and offer constructive feedback. I also can take criticism and learn from my mistakes.
In college, I plan to major in Business.
