My name is Sonwabile (Sonny) Williams. I am a 6'1”, 180 lbs. incoming Senior. I attend Andrews Osborn Academy in Ohio. My basketball team is International Sports Academy (ISA). I am a starting Point Guard for my team. We play on the national circuit. I also played AAU basketball for Illinois Wolves for 4 years. As a basketball player, I am a hard and diligent worker. I will not be outworked in training, or in the games. On offence, I can beat almost anyone off the dribble, I can shoot from anywhere on the court, and I am a prolific passer. During the latest AAU season I averaged 12 PPG and 6 assists per game. Though my offensive skills may make the highlight reels, my leadership and my defensive skills earned me recognition by many coaches. I always manage to get several rebounds, steals, and I everage 1.5 charges per game. Opponents guarded by me end up with the low scoring percentages. However, I believe my number one asset is my basketball IQ. I study the game by watching a lot of film and I work with my coaches to continuously improve my understanding of the game time situations and to make better, quicker decisions on the court. My goal is to play highly competitive college basketball. I am 100% committed to this goal and my family is supporting my efforts in every way possible.
In case you would like to speak directly to my coach at ISA, please contact Coach AJ Moltanaro. His phone number is (440) 812-8639.
