Erik Villarreal '24 Recruiting Profile

I love this kid’s toughness, effort, and competitive spirit since I first evaluated him as a Soph. Since then he has drastically improved his offensive game and now not only does he do the dirty work, he now has the skill set along with the intangibles you look for at the next level. Erik walked into ETX known as a workhorse type that will make a lot of winning plays, but he got the attention of the college coaches on staff working the camp by scoring a 54 (D2+/LM D1 Score) winning the Skills Challenge and earning the first spot in the ‘Top Prospect’ Game. With a much improved perimeter 3pt shot, and the toughness coaches look for these days when researching leads, Erik is set to breakthrough this Season and rise in the ranks by being a key to Clear Lake’s success.
