Due to the high school basketball season being cancelled in MD, I transferred from Calvert HS to ISA in Ohio. ISA is a prep high school playing a national basketball schedule against other top academies across the country. Playing at ISA, I have proven I can play against top competition. This year has been a good transition year from high school to college. When I played for Calvert HS, I played strictly at PG. My sophomore year, I was focused on running the team and being a facilitator for my teammates. As a junior, I had to adjust to more of a scoring role. At ISA, the coaches have me playing more SG and some PG. This has allowed me to learn to play both with and without the ball. ISA coaches have also given me the top defensive assignment every game. I guard the other team’s best guard or wing player, including the #1 junior in the country at 6’-9”. Hopefully, this shows the versatility I will bring to a college team.
I am a high academic player with a 3.85 GPA. In the future, I want to work in the medical field. At this time, I am leaning towards a nursing major for undergrad. I also have inspirations to do graduate work in the future to further my medical career.
What I am looking for in a college is the “right fit”. I am looking for a school with a great basketball program where I can be a major contributor, great academics to pursue my medical degree and a place I feel comfortable.
