Hello, my name is Rocco Awad. My collegiate goals are: I would like to play division one basketball, and I would like to play in the NCAA March Madness tournament. I am open to any school regardless of the division but division one is my primary goal. The reason I think I would be a good candidate for a team is because of my work ethic, I try as hard as I can every day whether I'm at school, at practice, during games, and at home working out or training. I can get along with other players, I don't have a temper so I wont talk back to coaches or teammates, I don't like drama so I wont start any arguments or even complain about practice, games or playing time. I'm very positive, during games I am always supporting my teammates, the only time I raise my voice is when I'm cheering and I always try to lift everyone's spirits if there is a bad or stressful situation. What sets me apart from other recruits is that I'm a true point guard, I always make the right decision during games. I am able to see the court and make the right plays by passing to open teammates instead of showing off and trying to score. I always look around to pass first because I know if there is an open teammate then passing to them and letting them score an easy layup or shot is better for the team than trying to showoff and scoring a difficult shot over a defender. Another difference that sets me apart is that I'm a leader, I lead by example because I always work hard no matter the situation to encourage my teammates. I'm a vocal leader because I enjoy talking on defense and offense to let my teammates know what is going on around them, I'm also very positive and encouraging so my teammates feel better while they play. Lastly, the difference that sets me apart in academics is my work ethic, I finish all my homework every day after school, I always study for tests, I'm in a homework club after school so I can get extra help with my work.
