Dear Coaches,
I am a 6’1 SG/PG who weighs 170 lbs, with great potential and determination to become a college athlete. I am a Canadian athlete, and want to play Division 1 Basketball. I'm the first athlete in my family, and I have worked very hard to achieve the skill level I am at right now. I currently play for an Elite AAU Basketball team, called Extra Step. I train professionally on my skills and on the fundamentals of my game. I have also played for O3P Academy and Jump Basketball. For Jump Basketball I played 2 seasons, and have won the championship, and was the MVP for both seasons straight. For O3P Academy, I played a season and had great success contributing to the team in multiple tournaments and was a key piece to the success of the team. I have had the chance to play with Extra Step Basketball for over a year and I have taken part in multiple tournaments and leagues, contributing highly to the team. I will also be playing AAU this upcoming season, and I look to display my skills against great talent. I also play for my high school’s varsity basketball team, in which I play a great role as a starter. I have set high goals for myself to achieve. I want to play D1 Basketball, and then pursue my dream to make the NBA. I have attended multiple D1 showcases as per invitation, resulting in offers from the D3, NAIA, JUCO, and USCAA level. I have also gained incredible feedback from college coaches, and have gained interest from multiple D1 Universities. I had the honor to receive the Senior Male Athlete of the Year award as a Junior in highschool. As a Shooting Guard, I have good athleticism, vision, IQ, Handles, Great defense and great rebounding skills. I also am a very comfortable catch and shoot, and off the dribble 3 point shooter. I have developed a good mid range game, as well as my post game. I try and constantly attack the basket and crash the offensive glass, but my main strength is my shooting and spacing the floor. In Jump Basketball, I averaged 12 points, almost 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. I also averaged 1.5 blocks and 2 steals per game. Academically, My mind is very sharp, and when I want to do something I achieve it and work towards it. Canadian education is more tougher than U.S education, and my grade average for Grade 9 was 90% and Grade 10 was 83%, and my average for Grade 11 was above 80%. I am constantly achieving as a student, and I have received offers as a student to some of the higher level universities in Ontario, Canada due to my current success in Grade 12. I have a mature, and calm personality. I will never be unfocused on or off the court, and I have great respect for all coaches. I’m a very good listener. My improving abilities will take me to the next level. I could fit into to any type of playing style and environment. I will be a great fit for a team that needs my expertise. Class of 2024!
