Austin Fontaine '21 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are that I want to play basketball at the highest level possible. I believe my competitiveness and coachable abilities will allow me to obtain that goal. I hope to work as a sports analyst observing the game of basketball because it’s my passion. One of the main reasons why I would be a good candidate for your team is that I am a team player. I love getting my teammates involved in the action and I have a tendency to make others around me better. I am very coachable as well, I listen to the coaches and take on defensive assignments as instructed. What makes me stand out as a recruit is my willingness to get better on and off the court. Although academia isn't my strong suit, I show up in the classroom and give it my best foot forward each and everyday. During practices I give it my all so I can produce when it actually counts in game. I’m also an encourager, I pick up my teammates when they are down. I leave my ego at the door and make sacrifices because I put my team first
