Jahred Palmer '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jahred Palmer; I am a 5'11", 185lb point/shooting guard that has started every game of my sophomore and junior years at Lugoff-Elgin High School. I earned 1st team all area honors my sophomore year at the 3A level by averaging 5.7 points, 5.2 assist, and 4.9 rebounds per game. Throughout my varsity career, I have averaged 35 minutes per game. I have scored 860 on the August 2009 SAT and 18 on October 2009 ACT. I am looking for an institution where I can play basketball and earn a quality education. I would like to pursue a university/college with an outstanding academic reputation in business/marketing. The perfect athletic situation would be one where I could come in and make an impact immediately. I believe my best fit would be at the DI or DII level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII and NAIA opportunities. I would entertain any offer from any school. I have been playing organized basketball since I was 5 years old. I truly love the game and play it with a great deal of passion. I am a true leader and hard worker on and off the court. Over the past few years, I have realized that basketball could be an excellent way to finance my future education goals and play the sport that I enjoy the most. The thing I love the most about basketball is the overall teamwork and commitment to a single task, winning. I do play other sports but basketball is my favorite sport.
