Personal Statement

Hi Coach,

My name is Jayden Owens. I want to go to college and get a degree and play basketball. I'm not sure what i would like to major in yet, but I will figure that out soon. I am a hard worker, and don't mind putting in the work. I want to get better each week, I like to compete. I enjoy working with my teammates, helping and leading us reach our goals. I like playing basketball, and learning new things. I enjoy time with my family and friends. My favorite subjects in school are science and history, and anything athletic or sports wise. What makes me different from others is I have lived in 4 different towns in SC and AL. So’ I’ve learned to adapt to my environment, meet new friends, and various coaches and teams, and still learn and develop.

Selected by Mauldin CPA Coach to play with SC Blejays in National Tournament in Orlando, Florida. Won 3 of 4 games. Then, won 4 of 4 games in National Tournament in Columbia, SC. Won the tournament (Rings).
2023 Upstate Warriors (JV)
Averaged 12 - 14 ppg. Multiple 20+ point games. Played for Warriors and Mauldin CPA for about 8 weeks. Practices - (M/F Warriors, T/TH CPA). Games - (Sat CPA, Sun Warriors). Basketball 6 days a week during the summer AAU season.
