I plan on receiving a four-year degree in preparation for a post-graduate degree in sports medicine. My education is important to me, but basketball is my life. I have been playing basketball since I was a little kid. I was the JV basketball MVP my freshman year and I have played varsity every year since. I do not take for granted my skill sets and work hard every day to improve. A positive, winning mindset is only half the battle. I know that working hard and being a team-player that takes care of the ball above all else, has made me the type of player that would be an asset to any team. I play solid defense, set picks for other players and I keep my head up, constantly gauging who has the best ability to make the shot. My three-point shooting percentage is currently at forty percent and I am working to improve that percentage each day.
I know that leadership is part of the job description on any team and as the Student Body President of my high school, I know what it means to not only lead, but to lead by example. A good leader is someone who has vision and is passionate about what they believe in. A great leader is someone who knows how to share that vision with others and how to make others passionate about those goals as well. I know how to be a good leader, but I work extra hard to be a great leader.
