My name is Ike Esonwune class of 2023 and this is where it started. From the age of 6 I knew I wanted to play on the high level. So, I stepped up my game growing up I played against older people.I'll say at least 10-20 more years older than me. I knew I wasn't strong of athletic enough to win games against them and trust me I lost thousands of times but from there it was a motivation. The motivation was a grind for me and it never stopped from 11 am all the way to 7 pm. It wasn't no inside gym for me.All I had was an outside court and through rain, cold, lighting, thunder, snow, and 100 degree weather I was still out there cause for my age I had a killer mindset which meant nothing's stopping me.My story isn't the same as other peoples cause I don't think no one in the world has work as hard as I do everyday.I didn't start doing sports for the training and the cheerleaders. I'm doing sports to make sure my mom don't gotta work another day in her life. My pain is what keeps me on my feet.My pain is what striving through my body. Motivational Speaker Ray Lewis said theirs two sides of pain There's one side of pain that's the suffering and discomfort, but theirs another side that's called EFFORT. Pain is only temporary,it will not last forever but something else will take its place which is a promise and my promise is to make it to the next level!
