I started playing basketball when I was six years old at the YMCA in Orlando, Florida. I didn't understand the game completely, but I was tall and strong enough to put the ball in the basket. My very first game, I probably scored 6 points and had 3 rebounds. Although they didn't keep score, I was excited and felt as if my team had won. I also played other sports such as soccer, football, and track, but I realized that my passion was basketball. I wanted to learn more about the game and started participating in basketball camps and joining AAU teams. These experiences have helped me to grow and develop into an all-around fundamentally sound player. I have matured from that tall six-year-old kid from only playing center positions to also playing small forward and stretch-4.
I believe I have the talent and mindset to compete athletically as well as academically at the next highest level for a college team. I was raised around a military lifestyle that instilled leadership, character, discipline, dedication, sacrifices and hard work. I will go above and beyond being an asset to the team by fulfilling any roles and expectations on and off the court.
If you believe I could potentially fit within your program, I look forward to hearing from you.
