Personal Statement

My name is Spencer Collins.  I am currently a sophomore attending Rainy River Community College located in International Falls, Minnesota as a student athlete.  During the 2012-2013 season I started 25 of 26 games and served as Team Captain.  As a freshman recruit at Rainy River during the 2011-2012 season, I started 18 of 24 in-season games with considerable playing time when not starting.  I ranked as a top field goal percentage shooter in the Northern Division of the MCAC Conference.

I will graduate from Rainy River Community College in May 2013 with my Associate of Arts Degree.  I will have 2 years eligibility left to play collegiate basketball, and intend to transfer to an NAIA or NCAA divisional institution.

My educational objective is to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, which will provide the opportunity for academic and personal growth, and assist in preparing for entrepreneurship upon graduation.

If you are looking for a student athlete who has a good attitude toward life on and off the court, is goal-oriented with character, has great work ethic, and good athleticism and text book skills, then consider what I have to offer.
