My name is Kaleb Pointer, I am Junior at Ferris Highschool in Ferris, Texas. I play on my Highschool Varsity Team as a Point Guard. I have always had a passion and desire to play basketball, since I was a little boy around the age of 5 years old. My Father influenced me to play basketball, he always played with my brother and I whenever we visited with him, when we were growing up. I love the game of basketball, I started playing basketball on recreational teams and aau teams, eventually leading me to play on my high school varsity team. I have learned while playing basketball that if you are passionate about something, you have to work very hard and master your skill and craft. Hard work pays off and it shows on the court. I plan to graduate from Highschool in June 2021 with my High School diploma with honors. After my high school graduation, I plan to attend a 4 year college or university and obtain my bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and after I receive my bachelor’s degree, I want to obtain my master’s degree in business administration or Leadership. I have had to overcome several obstacles in my life, when we were young, my Mother relocated several times because of her job and with each move there were different challenges, getting adjusted to new environments, meeting new friends, it was very uncomfortable, but I always managed to work through it and make new friends and overtime I adapted to the changes. My unique characteristics and skills, I would consider myself both a leader and team player – I know how to handle the ball and execute plays at the right time. I am a hard worker and I consider myself as an effective and efficient ball handler.
