Victor Ushi '22 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to play at the collegiate level of basketball and more. I'm hoping to get noticed so I can finally work on my game without having to worry about the financial costs every now and then since most of the basketball decisions I've made all have one roadblock in common: finance. If I were to get recruited, I would be able to put forth all my efforts into basketball without thinking about the financial stress my parents would have to go through. I see myself as an adaptive person, but also as a dominant competitive force. Once I feel confident in an action that I am doing, my whole personality changes. It's like I become a different person, and I like that about myself.

 Off the court I tend to be seen as a bright student, but I see myself more as a student with competitive drive. I've always wanted to be the best, and I still do. But sometimes it's best to swallow my pride and think about the situation in the long run. I study and work hard when it comes down to it, and I also focus in class. But when I'm out of school and through with my studies, I look at my basketball and practice. On the outside, to many people I seem cold and unwilling when it comes to basketball, but on the inside lays a beast waiting to pounce. 

Attending a college where I work hard in the classroom and on the basketball court is my goal. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. Hopefully I can build a family bond in the process.
