Resilience is a quality my mom has taught me. Seven years ago, she decided to leave the island (PR) and start a new life, which would offer me and my sisters opportunities for development in our childhood. Options that we would not have on the island. I consider myself a resilient person, a fighter for my goals and dreams, optimistic, and focused on playing basketball in college. I am very grateful for the growth opportunities that I have been able to experience in recent years. The process has been arduous, but it has been worth it.
