Behind the jersey:
I’ve often been described as an “old soul.” No matter who you are, you’ll receive a firm handshake when I greet you, and you’ll always hear, “Yes, sir; No, sir,” from me. I give respect, and I expect respect. I welcome a challenge – my biggest competitor is myself – always trying to improve my shooting, footwork, and mindset. Life has taught me that accepting defeat and owning my mistakes is always a step in the direction for improvement.
I hope to pursue a basketball scholarship at a D1 college with a good science program specializing in chemical engineering or another related career. My biggest role model is Kevin Durant who started at a young age with a dream of being successful; then the University of Texas changed that dream to a reality eventually becoming a well-known NBA legend. My aspirations are to run out on a college basketball court that God will harness into a successful future and a possible career.
If any doubt arises, please ask for the contact information of my Pee Wee, junior high, or high school level coaches, and they will confirm all that I have stated. I consider myself a good candidate with many attributes to offer: young, hardworking, disciplined, fearless, and committed; I’m willing to be a leader but not a “one man show.” Most importantly, I’m willing to learn and be a team player – I despise individuality because it takes a team working together to succeed.
