My name is Alexander Richard and I am a freshman for Peoples Academy High School in Morrisville, VT. I was first introduced to basketball in third grade by Hazen Union basketball and my former coach Aaron Hill. Basketball has been a huge factor of who I am today. Whenever I am/was having a rough day, basketball is a escape for me. Basketball has taught me how important relationships are. Knowing that on or off the court someone has your back is the greatest feeling in the world, so I always try to have all my teammates back. My goals for school are to be an all-honors student, and working through obstacles with persistence.
Winning the Maine Hoops Tournament in 2018 is a great highlight, in my eyes. After going 2-2 in almost every tournament, the feeling of winning that first championship with the Magic (my first year with them) was awesome. I was a leader for one of the first times, given the role by my coach to dominate. And I did. I can takeover a game when needed and would be a great fit for a team as a point-forward or dominate in the post.
