Zyir Baskerville '22 Recruiting Profile

So far the highlight of my high school career is being named the MVP of the JV at Varina High School.  My recently passed sophomore year I grew a lot as a student-athlete. I had improved my grades from my freshman year and went from a bench player to a starter on JV. Once the JV season ended I got to participate in a run for the 5B region championship, as well as states for Class 5. 

I am fortunate to be part of a great program, being that Varina has been in the Region 5B championship for 5 straight years. Not only that, but the program is coached by Region 5B Coach of the Year, Kenneth Randolph. I've learned comradery, teamwork, commitment, and leadership this year. As a two-sport athlete, I am looking to attend a college that lines up with my educational goals as well as my athletic goals. When it comes time for me to sign as a senior; I know I'll be ready with the skillset and core values to make an immediate impact on whichever team I play for.
