My name is Trendon Barsness and I am a 5'11" point guard for the Barneveld Varsity High School Basketball Team. Basketball is a big part of my life and I enjoy every minute I get the chance to play on a basketball court. I want to further my basketball career by working hard in school , practicing everyday, and developing my skills. I have aspirations to continue playing basketball after my high school career ends.
Sports have always played a huge role in my life. Most of my athletic accomplishments and recognition have been in baseball up to this point. I made the Varsity Team as a Freshmen. I had the chance to prove myself with my team as their pitcher and lead batter. I received the Bat Award for most RBI's in the season. I received the Honorable Mention All Conference Award. I was batting over .400 during the season. Now, I am just waiting for my chance to prove myself on the Varsity Basketball team next year. As a Sophomore, I was voted MVP by the team and made Six Rivers All Conference RF Player.
The Varsity Basketball Team had too many point guards last year so I played on JV which gave me more playing time and helped me improve my skills. I have enjoyed playing with the same team since basketball started and the camaraderie. We have created a lot of fun memories together and have encouraged each other through the good and the bad. I have grown as their point guard, a leader, and as a team mate. We are having a great season so far and played a lot of challenging games. I enjoy the challenge of coming from behind and winning the game. The sport of basketball is a big part of who I am. I am hoping to find a great college to play for and begin a basketball relationship that will create more fun memories and friendships.
