Simon Bergner '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Simon Mukhtar Bergner. I attend N.E.W. Lutheran High School located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. My goals for my future is to play basketball at the college level and achieve a four-year degree in commercial aviation. I strive to be a leader on and off the court, and doing so by putting others before myself and leading by example. I have a very strong passion for the sport of basketball and have devouted myself to striving to be the best player that I can be and putting in the work when no one is watching. I believe that God has blessed me with a work ethic that strives to improve every time I step on the floor, and to do things better than the day before. Without God and the support of my family I wouldn’t be where I am today. My character has allowed me to form many relationships with my peers, teammates, and coaches. It has also allowed me to focus in the things in life that I need to improve on, and has pushed me to be a better athlete, person, and student of the game. In the classroom, I strive to learn and gain the knowledge I need to move forward in high school and one day college, but also to be a respectful student and one who has academic success. Aside from academics and athletics, I make it a goal to be a servant of God each and every day that he blesses me with. I strive to put others before myself and to always give back to my community.
