On the edge of adulthood, one thing is absolutely certain – I love the game of basketball. At a very young age I remember watching my dad playing and coaching basketball. It was a little later in life when my family circumstances changed such that I was finally allowed to play at a competitive level. Missing out on the opportunity to grow my game as a youngster set me a few steps behind of my peers. However, that setback helped to create the dedication and drive that fuels my success on the court today. I have now deeply embedded myself into my current basketball program. Not only do I participate in my program as a player, but I also serve as a mentor to youth in our feeder program. This mentorship has allowed me to watch the younger generation grow and thrive in ways I was not able to at that age.
I aspire to play basketball at the next level. I will settle for nothing less than continuing my success both on and off the Court. My diversified background provides the backbone for my leadership skills. This leadership allows me to better myself, while uplifting those around me. My drive, dedication, and ability to persevere all while leading positively will make me a great fit for just about any college program.
