I have been involved in sports since I was five years old. I enjoy swimming, diving and baseball. I have been fortunate to compete for Calhoun High School all four years in each of these sports. I am graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I believe in working hard and giving back to my community. I also believe in putting my team first.
I was able to swim and dive at state this year. I contributed to my team's overall points which scored 2nd place for the boys. I did not place as well as I planned in diving due to my last qualifying dive. It was a questionable call but I respect the judges decision. My initial score was high enough to allow me to score points for my team even though I did not make it to the finals.
My senior baseball season abruptly came to an end on 3/13/20 due to the covid virus. Our team was undefeated and looked really strong. I was not only batting .400 but I was the top batter in the region at the time. I am proud of this accomplishment.
I am also proud of being named the 2020 positive athlete for the NW region in swimming/diving. My senior year did not end the way I hoped due to the Covid virus but I am looking forward to attending college in the fall.
