Aidan Clark - Cla...Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Aidan Clark. I am currently a senior at Centennial High School in Howard County, Maryland and am very interested in pursuing my diving career in college! While I’ve only been diving a few years, I believe my passion and dedication to the sport have made me a strong competitor allowing me to participate at both AAU and USA Dive events.
My diving goals are to go as far as I can go in the sport, hopefully competing at the NCAA’s and Senior National Level. I’d also like to make the Senior National Team, which I believe I will be able to do with a strong and experienced coach. While the pandemic has created challenges for training, I’ve worked very hard to get in the pool, gym and dryland room to keep improving my skills. This past summer I competed at USA Diving Junior Regionals, USA Diving Junior Zones, and AAU Nationals.
On a personal note, I am a hard worker that takes pride in what I do. When I'm not diving or completing my academic studies, I keep myself busy working. I spend my summers working as a lifeguard and pool operator at my local pool, and recently I've started my own business making custom rings and bells out of coins! With my level of commitment and dedication to the things I’m passionate about, I am confident that I would be an asset to a collegiate team. I hope you give me the opportunity to prove that!

- I have been training under the guidance of former Montgomery Dive Club coach, Sergey Meshcherskiy from December 2020-present. We train in the pool 4 days per week, and have recently been able to add dryland training back to our schedule.

- I took beginner dive classes with Coach Tim Perkins on campus at UMBC from September 2017 through December 2017. In January of 2018, I competed with the Retrieve Dive Club's AAU Team.
