Jacob Gordon '24 Recruiting Profile

As a member of the swim and dive team beginning my freshman year, I’ve spent countless hours working with teammates and myself to further my skills. I’ve single-handedly expanded our dive team at Parkway West High School to more than twice its original capacity. I taught a good friend of mine how to dive beginning of our junior year, and he’s now excelled into qualifying for districts at the first meet of his senior year. I’ve kept an aggressive summer practice schedule while working 40+ hours a week, teaching dive lessons, and taking two online classes, and I’ve continued this schedule throughout the school year. When not in dive season, I am a captain of the Water Polo team. I’ve spent countless hours after school helping the JV team improve by spending time before my practice working with their goalies. As a goalie in Water Polo, I am in charge of the defense which has made me grow more and more into a leader in the water. In my senior year, I was given the honor of being captain of the Swim and Dive team allowing me the opportunity to benefit my team even further. I enjoy working hard at practices and pushing myself and others to do their best.
