Carter Canastra '26 Recruiting Profile

Being a proud member of USA gymnastics since I was five years old, I have had the honor of competing across the United States both individually and with a team.  In Middle School, a coach approached me and asked if I’d be willing to try diving with the Swim and Dive Team.  In 8th grade I tried out, made the modified team, and fell in love with the sport.  I’ve been a 2-sport athlete since then, making the Varsity Swim and Dive Team as a freshman and becoming a proud member of USA Diving.  Each year I have improved, and as a Sophomore this past year, I was able to achieve finishing 5th in Division III men’s diving.  I have also maintained honor roll status, am in all honors and AP classes, volunteer regularly, am a member of Son’s of the American Legion, and carry a 3.74 GPA.  I’d be honored to be considered for your diving program, and will continue to work hard to excel athletically, academically and personally to be an ideal for your institution.
