Rafael Serey-Cormier '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello

My name is Rafael Serey-Cormier. I am from Ottawa, Canada, I am 17 years old and currently in Grade 12.

I’ve been practicing the sport of diving since the age of 6 years old and I’ve been in the competitive program for the last 8 years competing at the Provincial, National and most recently at the senior level. I also had the opportunity to participate in an International competition in December 2023 in Montreal finishing in first place in 1m, 2nd in platform and 5 in 3M events. Last year, I participated in the Wendy Wyland Memorial invitational in Fort Lauderdale finishing 1st on platform.

I have always been part of the same diving team, I have recently changed team that better meets my schedule and needs. My coaches and teammates was like my second family and I will continue to visit them. I am exciting to start a new season with a new coach, new divers and new challenges.

I would like to continue practicing diving at university/college because I like new challenges and I love the sport. I want to continue to push myself to be the best that I can possibly be in both academics and sport.

I am very dedicated to my academics and my sport. I consider my education as important as my diving.

My goal after high school is to pursue my studies and obtain a degree in the business/finance field.
