Personal Statement

I started playing golf when I was 12 years old. I was involved on my middle school golf team, as well played on the high school golf team during my middle school years.

I am very dedicated to reach the highest point in my golfing career. I have a strong desire to play college golf while obtaining my undergraduate degree. I am also willing to put in the time and effort during my high school and college years to excel in the classroom.

Please consider me as a potential recruit for your program.

Sincerely,

Landon Wockenfuss 2020

  • Camp/Event
  • SJGT Timberline
  • 7/17/17 to 7/18/17
  • Day 1, I played great! I shot a 72 (+1). Day 2 shot a 76 (+5) - was -1 thru the front nine. Back nine had a few holes that just didn't go the way I wanted and caused me some strokes. Finished 5th in the 14-15 age group and 13th overall in the 14-19 age group. Even though day 2 wasn't my best playing, I was still happy with the outcome. This was my first time to shot under 150 in a SJGT tournament.
  • Camp/Event
  • SJGT GNJC
  • 7/10/17 to 7/11/17
  • Day 1 I shot an 80 - Day 2 shot a 75. I've been working a lot with my coach on a new swing and that definitely came into play in this tournament. Finished 5th in my age division.

  • I shot a 81-73--154. The 1st round I didn't get off to a good start. I shot 43 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine. • Camp/Event
  • HJGT Canongate Series #1
  • 2/25/17 to 2/26/17
  • I shot a 78-74 (2nd Place) on a great golf course with good playing conditions. On the first day, I was 2 shots behind the leader and knew my focus needed to be on speed control on the greens.
