My name is Jakob Brown, class of 2023 at Soldotna High School in Soldotna, Alaska. I was first introduced to the game of golf by my dad when I was 10. I played casually for a couple years before I realized I had a passion for the game and wanted to pursue it. I take golf very seriously and strive to get better each and every time I play. I am never satisfied with where my golf game is at and take constructive criticism very well. Living in Alaska, the golf season is relatively short, so a golfer needs to make their time count. I really love playing golf….I play 18-27 holes a day, 5 days a week. I would be a great asset on a collegiate golf team because I strive for the best not only in myself, but for my teammates each and every day. Growing up, my family raised me to be a student athlete, so school is just as important as golf. I have been a 4.0 student and on the honor roll since the 6th grade. In college, I want to become a chemical or mechanical engineer. I would be an asset on a collegiate golf team because of how hard I work, and my passion for the game. I am seeking a high quality school that can help me pursue my dreams of being an elite golfer and an outstanding competitor.
