My aspirations and collegiate goals are to be a great asset to my team and someone who can be counted on to shoot low scores consistently. Golf is my passion and has taught me how to handle and overcome setbacks in life more than anyone or anything else ever could. I am committed to my training and my daily schedule has included working at a golf club, school courses, followed by private golf training sessions and personal training at the gym. I am developing concentration, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. It is important to me to hold myself to the highest standards in all areas of my life. I am pressing forward to improve myself and reach my goals.
I am a member of the Mu Alpha Theta math program and my most recent accomplishments include being president of FBLA where I am active in fundraising and community service events and my responsibilities include recruiting potential candidates, getting together with other student organizations in the school, hosting school sponsored events, and conducting award programs for our most active members. I also serve as FBLA vice president of communications in which my role is to coordinate and organize activities. This has been very helpful in becoming comfortable with public speaking and learning how to improve my leadership skills.
I was privileged to have lettered in golf as a freshman. This was a honor at a school well known for their athletics and academics. I am captain of our high school golf team and look forward to the year ahead and spending time with my coaches and teammates. I strive to be a authentic, credible leader and effectively communicate and reinforce the coaches strategy and instruction for our team. I believe in leading by example.
Going into my senior year, I look forward to meeting new people and working hard to be a model of consistency and confidence. I would like to continue as a volunteer through our church and Urban Missions in distributing food to the homeless community and serving in summer camps as a children's ministry teacher. I also enjoy spending time as a volunteer to teach kids with special needs to play golf and participate in the local Special Olympics golf program.
I will be participating in many tournaments this season and I hope you have a chance to follow me and check out my progress as I dedicate myself to this process. I'm excited to see what the future brings and looking forward to new opportunities.
