My name is Louis Johnson. I am 17 and will be starting my Senior year in High School at Prescott High School.
I started playing golf when Covid first began and soon could not get enough of it. My dad went out with me every day. We often played 27 to 36 holes. I broke 80 from the men’s tees for the first time, five months after I started playing. I have played the tips ever since and am now playing in the low 70s and sometimes even below par. I enjoy competing both individually as well as with a team.
I played on the high school team for the Charter School division for two years. We won State both years and my score counted in every one of those competitions. The second year, I played with a broken wrist, although it was in a splint, because the team needed my score. I also have started competing in as many of the JGAA, Antigua and Hurricane tournaments as possible. I continue to work on my game and am determined to pursue golf at a higher level at university and even beyond that.
