I have always looked for my place in the game of golf. When many kids my age would be wanting to play video games or concentrate on other sports, I liked to spend any free time going out with my dad playing in his ‘group’ and chipping and putting everyday
I have been influenced by the drive to win. While I have very supportive parents, I understand that the game of golf and my chance to improve are based solely on my desire and the amount of dedication I can apply to the game. No-one can or should have to be the motivating force.
Education and the opportunities that come from it are very important to me. Being attentive at school and ensuring that I keep up with the work in school and outside of school are expected of me. My parents place a high value on my academic achievements and those will always come before any outside activities.
I have learned that my golf game enables me to control my own destiny. The game of golf isn’t dependent upon size, social status, or peer group. No matter my background - it is a game against me and myself only. It is up to me to succeed!
