Madison Holmes '21 Recruiting Profile

    Sports have always been a big part of my everyday life. Between basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track, I’ve pretty much done it all, but there was one sport that stood out from the others: golf. I grew up around the game; my dad plays and he would often take me out on the course on Sunday afternoons. It was not until my sophomore year in high school that I decided I was all in and solely focused on golf. It was a difficult decision considering that I have always been a multi-sport athlete, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What draws me to golf is the uniqueness of the game and the challenge that it holds. There are so many aspects of golf that require constant improvement, and in my opinion it is unlike any other sport because it is a game between you and yourself. I have a very strong drive to be the best and the desire to win at all costs.  Golf is a big part of who I am and it has already made me a better person in that it has instilled patience, sportsmanship, and hard work into my life. I have a true passion for the game and I enjoy the chase of constantly improving my skills. 

    I am looking for a program that is not only a fit athletically, but also academically. I believe that I have a lot to offer and any program can benefit from my integrity and work ethic. Not only do I have the talent to compete at this level, but I also value the work that is done in the classroom as a student. Coming from someone who values the essence of character and hard work, I have exactly what it takes to be a great addition to your team!
