Starting to play golf at the young age of 2 years old meant I was able to develop an understanding of the game before many others. With the help of my family and the sport, I’ve learned important life skills such as patience, persistence, working hard for the things I want to achieve, and improving the condition of my body to help me achieve what I desire. In particular, I’ve had to overcome unrealistic expectations for myself and make a better plan to succeed in both golf and my academics. For instance, I’ve realized balancing a mentally demanding sport while attempting to graduate with a reliable degree will be all but easy, which is why finding the appropriate college is very important to me.
