Cohen Harvey '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cohen Harvey. I have been an active member of The First Tee of the Coachella Valley from the age of 9, where I discovered a passion for this elusive game. Golf takes patience, skill, and mental stamina, which is part of why I love it so much. Golf has provided me with many amazing opportunities, such as: mentoring youth as a junior coach, being an ambassador caddie for the Evans Caddie Scholarship program, and being standard bearer for the AMEX. It has challenged me to be more goal oriented. Recently, I achieved a major milestone of shooting par in a tournament setting. This roller coaster of a game has allowed me to learn how to be patient when things aren't happening as fast as I'd like them to, perseverance when, no matter how hard I try, things won’t go my way, humility when someone else takes home the win that I worked so hard for, showing integrity even when nobody's watching, and the opportunity to help others in their own time of personal discouragement.  Perhaps the real win is the lessons I’ve learned and applied to my life. Perhaps golf is just a temporary way of teaching permanent lessons. The road to even par has been anything but a straight line, and I’m thankful for that. It would be an honor to play golf at a collegiate level while pursuing my academic goals of a Master's in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. I'm excited to see what our team can accomplish together.
