Hello, I'm Ethan Thomas, I've been playing golf for little over five years, I got into golf with the belief it would get me into college but when I started playing for the first time I fell in love with the game and have been playing the game ever sense. My father is a great golfer and has been my only coach. The last five years has been full of experiences I never thought would come from the game of golf. I've met so many people and learned so many new things. The grind and struggle the game of golf presents is like nothing else and that discipline and determination required is so compelling to me and pulls me to go out early in the morning and stay till late at night. Physically I workout and diet to stay in great shape to be incomplete control of the physical aspect of the game, the mental aspect on the other hand isn't as simply improved and learned. The mental side is unmatched and that challenge to over come my own self is what has captured my love of the game. I love the challenge.
Through High School I've learned so much from just listening to the coach and getting told those helpful tips he used to give me when I was in eighth grade, all the way to the point where I am now, as captain, telling the eighth graders what my coach wants to see from them to make the team. Freshman year taught me so much like to not listen to doubters and new sayers and listen only to that voice telling you to keep going and that belief that whatever you can do I can do better. Sophomore year I learned about the grind and how important work ethic is. Perfect practice makes perfect and you get what you put into it was the most important lesson, in my opinion, I've learned. Applying those two life lessons to my junior year I was able to have my best year and still learn so much more than I thought I could, like sportsman ship and being a leader.
