My name is Kaitlyn Gomez, and I am dedicated to the sport of softball and improving both my athletic skill and mental game on a weekly basis. I have played the sport of softball since I was eight years old and as I have gotten older I have learned how to set goals for myself to make improvements in myself weekly. Softball has also taught me to set goals for myself in the classroom as I work to have a competitive GPA.
I play Varsity Softball Team for my high school, Diamond Bar High School and as a freshman I made 1st team All League.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. I work hard to compete daily. My workout routine consists of daily practice at home hitting in addition to my personal training sessions to improve my overall strength, weekly fielding classes and weekly hitting lessons. As a middle infielder, one of my jobs is to encourage the pitcher and be the leader on the field. This means praising and encouraging the pitcher on every pitch. Having this energy and positivity on the field is important trait that helps define the game.
My intended major is Criminal Justice in which I intend to be in law enforcement as a Detective.
