Hello, my name is Dylan Otto. I just completed my junior year at Kingsburg High School. I started playing golf about 7 years ago and fell in love with the sport. The aspect that I enjoy most about golf is that every shot is different, a yardage might be the same for 2 shots but the slope of the green, the angle of the wind make them different. The game challenges you both mentally and physically.
I have been the #1 player on our varsity team the past 3 seasons. My scoring average my junior season was 37.4, which was 2nd best in league. I shot 75 at our District which qualified me for the CIF Central Section Individual Tournament. At the section finals I shot even par 72 which qualified me for the Southern California Regionals in Pasadena, but missed qualifying for state.
After high school I would like to continue my golf career by playing at the collegiate level. My current GPA through 3 years of high school is 3.8 so academics are very important to me.
In addition to playing golf I also help the Assistant Pro at my club teach the game to juniors ages 6-12. The past four summers I have helped with a junior clinics and during this school year I help every Friday after school. I look forward to this every week and hope that I can grow a child's passion and love for the game.
Thank you for looking at my profile.
