When I was 6 years old, my dad took a chance and started coaching water polo after being away from the game for 20 years. That was when I was first introduced to water polo and it changed my life. I was the only girl, so I learned the game playing with my older brother and his friends. It made me a strong player and fierce competitor. I'm always trying to learn more about the game, which in turn helps me maneuver through life and how to help others achieve success. I have experienced many different styles of coaching giving me the ability to adapt, however I respond best to a coach that pushes me (yelling is ok!)
I am currently a lifeguard, maintain a 4.0+, and coach rec swim and Splashball in the summer. I have played in high level games at JO's over the years and know I have the strength, stamina, and mental toughness it takes to play in college. I am excited to continue my water polo career in college where I can continue to increase my knowledge of the game, grow as a leader, and become a faster, stronger player.
