Ely pancoast '21 Recruiting Profile

I started playing golf when I was 4 in Palm Springs every Spring Break on my Grandpa’s course in their condo development. At home we had a 9 hole course nearby. It was the perfect place for beginners and nothing to write home about. As I got older I started attending Nike golf camps at Tilden in Berkeley and a couple other local ones. Once I turned 13 I started going to the Nike Pebble Beach Sleepaway camp for a week too. Additionally I started taking lessons On a regular basis in preparation for High School Golf Team.  I have made Varsity the past 2 years. I received the Coach’s Award last year.  This year during Covid Ihave  been playing as much as possible  in hopes we will have a Senior year season.  I am very competitive and can be hard on myself. While I uses to play other sports too,I chose to just focus on Golf my sophomore year. Recently I added weight training 3 -4 times a week.  Golf is my passion.
