Aiden Salcedo '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, My name is Aiden Salcedo and I am currently a Junior at Turlock High School in Turlock, CA.   I became interested in golf when I was 13 but really became serious about the game a little over two years ago as a freshman with a 28 handicap at the time.  Through hard work, dedication and determination, I have improved to a 5 handicap in a very short time and know that the rapid improvement will continue.  I really have a passion for the game of golf and enjoy playing 5-6 days a week.  I look forward to increasing my tournament play this year with Junior Golf Association of Northern CA (JGANC), Junior tour of northern california (JTNC), and continue working toward my goal of becoming a scratch golfer by the start of my high school's 2023 golf season in March.  

Aside from the work I put in at the course, I have demonstrated the same strong work ethic in my academics.  I maintain a 4.3 GPA, am taking 1 honors class this year and an AP class as well as being recognized on the Principal's Honor role every quarter since 7th grade. I participate in extracurricular activities such as Science Club, Science Olympiad, First Priority, and Key Club and plan to major in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or Business.  My goal is to play college golf at a school where I can work hard, grow and learn from my coaches and team, gain a great education and excel both on and off the golf course.
