My name is Ellie Crowell, I am a Setter/Right Side Hitter for the class of 2021. I have played volleyball for 6 years and I love every aspect of it. More specifically being able to create strong bonds with my teammates, working through tough practices, and playing in intense matches. I am a versatile player in that I can play all positions in the front row if needed and am able to play back row as well.
I have been playing volleyball since I was 12 years old, I started playing at Rage Volleyball Club out of Ripon, CA as a libero. I continued to play with Rage as a pin hitter until my 16s and 17s year where I switched to Pacific Coast Volleyball Club out of Stockton, CA and began to train as a setter. I have been playing sports (volleyball, basketball, and soccer) for as long as I can remember and being able to participate in them has definitely shaped me into the athlete I am today. Sports have taught me the value of hard work, being a team player, dedication, and accountability. In volleyball I have been given the opportunity to play and excel and I have a real passion for it and all that it entails.
I am looking for a school with a good combination of academics and athletics. I am on the honor roll and have participated in honors and AP in middle school through high school. I am looking forward to being able to further my academic and athletic career at the same time. My ultimate goal is to play volleyball competitively while working to earn my college degree. As of now I am undecided of what my major will be but I am strongly considering business. I understand that playing volleyball at the collegiate level is such an amazing opportunity, that being said I am so excited to get to work and would love to have that chance!
