I have been fortunate enough to golf ever since I was 7 years old. I used to play it every once in a while with my dad and friends, and really started to like the sport.
I signed up with the First Tee of Idaho when I was 8. This is where I started to learn the rules about golf, being respectful, and having integrity while playing the game. I participated in the First Tee of Idaho for 6 years.
I have a personal coach who has helped me improve. I consider myself as being coachable. I make sure to practice the advice my coach gives me, and I know in order to get better, I have to make sure I put in the work and dedication needed. I've been on a varsity high school team for 2 years now, going on my third, this year.
I go to an IB high school and study hard to achieve good grades. When I get a grade I am not satisfied with, I will go in and ask my teacher how I can fix my mistakes so I can learn from them.
In between school and playing golf, I also find time to work at a golf course where I have worked for over a year. I have also volunteered at the Albertsons Open for two years.
I've been able to play this sport for a while now, and I can't wait to see where it takes me in the future.
