Since the first swing, my commitment and enjoyment for the game of golf has grown exponentially. Along with the other sports and activities I have done in the past, golf has shown how sacrifices and practicing with a purpose determine the level of athlete I can become. The game has additionally trained me to become patient, allowing me to better understand the possibilities awaiting on the golf course. The scorecard can be tempting to glimpse at, but remaining committed to my game plan and the fundamentals of my swing will produce the best scores and greatest levels of confidence.
Academically, I take pride in my studies and am grateful for the educators who dedicate their time to create opportunities for me. My education has required excellent time management, asking questions when necessary, and confidence in my ability to learn the material. I take pride in the awards I have received and appreciate the recognition for my academic accomplishments. Similarly, these attributes of my student character overlap with those of my golfing. Being a student to the game and maintaining an open mind to the knowledge of others is critical for the growth of my game and future.
