Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Tiger Den Invitational
  • 8/15/24 to 8/15/24
  • This was my first high school tournament ever and this was an eye opener for varsity golf. I didn’t play well at all and shot a 82(+10). The team did not use my score and placed 4th behind Hinsdale Central, Geneva, and LaGrange.
  • Camp/Event
  • College Showcase Invitational
  • 8/05/24 to 8/05/24
  • This was my last tournament before the high school season and I wanted to go out with a round I was proud of. I did everything but that. I shot a 80(+9) and had a lot of bad holes. I just wasn’t hitting fairways or my greens and I left myself a lot of bad up and downs for par.
  • Camp/Event
  • MAJGT
  • 7/31/24 to 8/01/24
  • I did not play well in this tournament both days and did not place inside the top 20. I shot a 78(+6) the first day, and 80(+6) the second day. I wasn’t hitting my greens and my short game was lackluster.
  • Camp/Event
  • Illinois PGA Jr. Masters
  • 7/29/24 to 7/29/24
  • This was a very cool tournament to play in. The course was really cool and I want to play in this next year too. I didn’t play well shooting a 80(+9) and not placing in the top 10.
  • Camp/Event
  • Chicago Jr. Am
  • 7/22/24 to 7/23/24
  • This was a fun little tournament to play in. The course is very short and there is plenty of birdies to be found there. I played not well the first day 76(+6) and not too much better the second day 73(+3).
  • Camp/Event
  • Notah Begay Regional
  • 7/09/24 to 7/10/24
  • This was a big tournament for me. I didn’t play well the first day in any way, shooting an 89(+17), my worst score ever in a tournament. The next day I shot a 75(+3) with an unfortunate triple bogey on 17. I did not qualify for the tournament in Louisiana as there was only 2 qualifying spots.
  • Camp/Event
  • CEJA Qualifier
  • 7/08/24 to 7/08/24
  • Oak Brook GC has very hard greens and a shot leaving yourself with a downhill put is not good on almost every green. I did not play well and felt like I had no feel with my wedges and irons, so I was leaving myself with an up and down or a lag 2 putt to make par on a lot of the holes. I shot an 80(+8) and did not qualify. I will use this as a learning experience for future tournaments to practice more before my tournaments to make sure I have my feel.
  • Camp/Event
  • Playing Member Stroke Play #27
  • 7/02/24 to 7/02/24
  • Cog Hill #3 is a very cool course to play and I had only played it once in a practice round before this, and I was looking forward to this tournament. The course is not too demanding off the tee so I knew that I needed to have my short game in order to win. I shot a 72(E) and won the tournament by 4 shots.
  • Camp/Event
  • Illinois PGA Jr Event #6
  • 7/01/24 to 7/01/24
  • Ivanhoe Club is where the Web.com Tour used to host the Rust-oleum Championship. The likes of Max Homa and Wyndham Clarke have played in before. The course requires you to know where to play the ball on each hole, and if you don’t you will have a very hard shot into greens. I started off par, triple bogey, bogey, and went -3 though the last 15 holes to shoot a 73(+1) and tie 3rd place.
  • Camp/Event
  • Illinois PGA Jr. Event #5
  • 6/24/24 to 6/24/24
  • This was a very tight course to play and it required a good tee shot to have any shot into the green. I wasn’t hitting my driver how I wanted to, so I was scrambling to make my pars. I had a lot of good up and downs, but it truly wasn’t enough to shoot well. I shot a 78(+6) and placed 8th.
  • Camp/Event
  • Illinois PGA Junior Tour Event #4
  • 6/17/24 to 6/17/24
  • This was a hard tournament to play. The weather became an aspect when it was 95 degrees and humid to the point of an air quality alert in Chicago was sent out. The course was not too hard but you have to know where to put the ball off the tee. The fairways are riddled with bunkers and 3 wood becomes a better choice than driver in some situations. I played well but wasn’t delivering my putts like I should have. I had 34 putts and hit 14/18 greens in regulation. I shot a 76 (+4) and tied 2nd place.
  • Camp/Event
  • ISJA Qualifier
  • 6/12/24 to 6/12/24
  • This was an important tournament for me, I wanted to qualify for the Illinois State Junior Amateur and I played not exactly how I wanted to. I missed a lot of important putts and gave up most of my strokes around the green. I had 36 putts and shot a 75 (+5). I did not qualify for the tournament and was right on the cusp of qualifying.
  • Camp/Event
  • Illinois PGA Junior Tour Event #3
  • 6/10/24 to 6/10/24
  • This course was hard and demanded some good approach shots into the greens. The greens were rolling at around a 12 and they were firm so I was hitting to the center of the green on a lot of my shots outside 150. I played well except for my first 3 holes and went -1 through the last 15 to shoot a 75(+3) and tie for 6th.
  • Camp/Event
  • PM Stroke Play at Mt. Prospect GC
  • 6/05/24 to 6/05/24
  • I hadn’t played this course before I played it, but I felt confident and prepared because I had studied the drone footage and had course notes. My ball striking felt good all day, but my putting was lackluster and cost me at least 5 strokes. I had 38 putts, and shot a 76 placing me 4th in the field of 36.
  • Camp/Event
  • Notah Begay III Local Qualifier
  • 4/21/24 to 4/21/24
  • Cantigny Woodside/Lakeside is a very hard course, especially because of the fact that the greens were running at around a 15 on the stimp meter. I finished 3rd place overall and qualified to play the Birck Boilermaker Purdue course in July 9-10.
