I love the speed, skill and fun of lacrosse and I can't imagine not playing when my high school career is over. I've been playing lacrosse for what feels like my whole life and I've had so much triumph and failure. My road has not always been easy – constantly proving and re-proving myself. I am competitive and I want to win. I work hard for every rep. Lacrosse has taught me how to win and how to lose. I've learned about sacrifice and discipline. I've built emotional toughness, physical toughness, and grit.
Lacrosse has taught me so much about myself and I like the person I'm becoming. But, most importantly, through lacrosse, I’ve learned that it isn’t about me. Lacrosse is about something bigger than me and bigger than the game itself – it’s about the team. I want to be a part of that - the community, the school, and the team. I’ve seen what’s possible with great team chemistry. I want to be the best lacrosse player I can be, but I believe that starts with being the best teammate first.
Role player or superstar – it doesn’t matter to me. I love lacrosse and I’m in it for the game; for the lessons; for the fun; for the team; and for the family.
I’m all in.
