Sports have always been a significant part of my life. When I’m outside playing and competing, I’m at my very best. I seem to thrive on the challenge of competition. Over the years I’ve participated in many sports; golf, soccer, basketball and football. I played travel soccer for seven years from August through May. I golfed all summer, every Christmas and every spring break with my family. Freshman year was difficult as I had to decide between the golf team and the soccer team. I chose to play soccer and I regret that decision. I love golf more than anything, so after soccer was over, I decided to only play golf and focus on it year round.
Passionate, smart, and hard-working are the words coaches used to describe me in my evaluations. Passionate was the term used most often and what I feel describes my personality the best. I am focusing solely on Golf and have a strict practice schedule. Practice is critical and keeps me confident on the course. Golf is the perfect sport because I alone am responsible for my score.
Currently, I’m a Senior at Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois with score of 28 on my ACT and a GPA of 3.38. I’m 6’ and weigh approximately 145 lbs. In addition to practicing golf, my daily routine includes working out to keep gaining strength and remain fit. I am interested in receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and would prefer a school in the Midwest, however I am flexible based on the right opportunity. Playing golf in college would be a dream come true for me and I am open to any Division as long as the school has the right Business program for me.
During my first year on the golf team, I was the top player with an average nine hole score of 41. At Conference at the Bridges of Poplar Creek GC, I started the first hole with a triple bogey and still managed to end up scoring a 76 and tying for 1st place. During my Junior year I medaled with a 75 at our High School tournament in Randall Oaks. Putting is the strongest part of my game because of the long hours I spend practicing.
I am currently working as a volunteer coach for a 5th grade basketball team at the park district I played in when I was younger. I feel I’ve been a strong leader and role model to the boys and I’m happy to give back to my community.
I believe that my work ethic, passion and focus will allow me to achieve a degree in Business and help your University golf team succeed.
