I have a drive to do well in not only in my academics but in the community that I live in and work with. I take pride in my actions on and off of the golf course to demonstrate pride for my family, school, and golf team. The path that I have created now shows the determination I have to overcome obstacles and achieve goals along the way. I am always a work in progress and others in my life have helped me along the way by teaching me valuable lessons. I have a diagnosis of Twice Exceptionally Gifted with Autism and through the guidance of family, sports/coaches, peers/friends, and professionals I have become more aware of my strengths and weaknesses. Some of my weaknesses have now become my strengths such as communication amongst people. My autism gives me more creative and group thinking skills, I use group thinking in solving puzzles like the Rubik's cube, looking at ecosystem issues in our world, or designs in my Computer Aided Drafting and Design classes. I use my creative thinking in writing poetry and using new writing skills that I learn through school to add more layers of meaning to my poems. As a student, family member, and golf athlete I take all of my talents and use them to build my confidence in our society. My goals and aspirations for my future are going to be based off of my knowledge and confidence that I learn about each and every day.
